John Deere’s product training experts are now advancing new operators’ skills through hands-on, in-person courses designed for real-world earthmoving equipment use. During these three-day sessions, held in Sacaton, Arizona, contractors and operators receive focused instruction on John Deere machinery, including comprehensive machine walkarounds, core operational techniques, and proficiency in using essential equipment features.
Matt Nolte, manager of sales and customer training for John Deere, notes that customers face ongoing challenges with operator shortages and turnover. “When they have a chance to train new operators, they want more than just high satisfaction—they need training that will have them working effectively, fast,” Nolte says.
Specifically aimed at operators with less than a year of experience, the training offers nearly half a day of practice with various John Deere machine types, helping participants build jobsite-ready skills. Registration for the upcoming December 3-5 session is now open, with limited spots available. John Deere also plans to expand its training offerings, adding sessions for all skill levels to meet the evolving needs of operators throughout their careers. For customers requiring a customized approach, Custom Training Sessions are available by request to address specific training needs.
