AFEX Hosts 2026 Distributor Training School Showcasing Fire Suppression Systems and Quality Processes

AFEX Fire Suppression Systems, specialists in designing and manufacturing fire protection systems for heavy-duty mobile equipment, successfully hosted its 2026 Distributor Training School on April 14-15 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event brought together a global group of distributors and partners, with representation across North America, Latin America, and beyond, for hands-on training showcasing AFEX fire suppression systems and the quality processes behind them.

Designed to strengthen technical expertise and foster collaboration across its distributor network, the two-day program focused on best practices for installation, maintenance, and system application across industries such as mining, forestry, waste, and transportation – where fire risk remains a critical concern for both operators and equipment. This year’s program placed a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and increased visibility into AFEX’s internal quality and manufacturing processes.

Hands-On Training and Real-World Application

A key highlight of this year’s program was the hands-on training experience at AFEX’s Raleigh headquarters, where participants engaged directly with core system components and manufacturing processes.

Distributors participated in live demonstrations and interactive sessions focused on AFEX’s monitor panels, gaining a deeper understanding of system functionality and operation in real-world applications.

Attendees also rotated through a series of dedicated stations within the facility, providing insight into critical aspects of AFEX’s quality-driven approach. These stations included receiving and inspection processes, order preparation and shipping, monitor panel functionality, and nitrogen cartridge handling. “Training is most effective when it connects directly to what happens in the field,” said Kevin Kroll, President of Operations at AFEX. “By giving our distributors visibility into how our systems are built, tested, and supported, we’re reinforcing the consistency and reliability they, and their customers, depend on every day.”

Strengthening a Global Network

With representation spanning multiple regions, the 2026 Training School reinforced AFEX’s growing global footprint and commitment to supporting distributors in diverse markets. Bringing partners together in one location created an opportunity to align on best practices while strengthening consistency in how AFEX systems are supported around the world. “Bringing our distributors together creates an opportunity to align on best practices, share field experiences, and ultimately strengthen the level of support we provide to end users worldwide,” said Kroll. “Our goal is to ensure every partner leaves with the confidence and knowledge to protect both equipment and the people who operate it.”

Building Connections Beyond the Classroom

Beyond the technical curriculum, the event provided valuable opportunities for networking and relationship-building among distributors and the AFEX team. A guided facility tour, along with a group bowling event, helped foster strong personal connections and collaboration across the network – reinforcing the partnership-driven approach that defines AFEX’s distributor relationships.

Commitment to Ongoing Training and Support

AFEX’s Distributor Training School is part of the company’s broader commitment to continuous education and long-term partner success. By equipping distributors with the tools, training, and support they need, AFEX helps ensure consistent system performance, reduce the risk of equipment fire, and improve operator safety in the field.
