Atlantic Lithium Receives Final Regulatory Approval for Ewoyaa Lithium Project

Atlantic Lithium Limited, a company focused on lithium exploration and development in Africa, has announced that Ghana’s Minerals Commission has granted a Mine Operating Permit for its flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project.

This permit is the final regulatory approval needed before construction can begin on the project, which includes the Ewoyaa Lithium Mine and Processing Plant. It represents a significant step toward making a Final Investment Decision.

The company is now awaiting parliamentary ratification of the Ewoyaa Mining Lease, with Ghana’s parliament scheduled to reconvene on October 15, 2024. Atlantic Lithium plans to update shareholders as new information becomes available.

Neil Herbert, Executive Chairman of Atlantic Lithium, commented, “The issuance of the Mine Operating Permit marks a critical milestone in the permitting process for the Ewoyaa Lithium Project, representing the final regulatory approval required before we can commence construction. With our sights set on achieving lithium production in Ghana, we eagerly anticipate parliamentary ratification of the Ewoyaa Mining Lease in the upcoming session, which would pave the way for the construction and operation of this globally significant lithium project.”
