CASE Construction Equipment is expanding its lineup with the launch of four new mini excavator models, designed for easy transport, flexible use on smaller projects, and optimal performance in confined job sites. The new additions include three diesel-powered machines from the D Series and one all-electric model, offering a range of operating weights and industry-leading power to give crews versatile, right-sized solutions that can be transported with a pickup truck trailer.
The lineup consists of the ultra-compact 11.8-horsepower CX12D, the high-performing 18.4-horsepower CX19D, the all-electric 32.3 kWh CX25EV, and the heavy-duty 59.4-horsepower CX60D. Each model is engineered for tasks such as trenching, dirt moving, truck loading, site prep, grading, foundation digging, and land clearing. All machines feature either zero or minimal tail swing and intuitive controls, making them easy to operate in tight spaces. They are also designed for fast, straightforward maintenance, with easy-to-access service points. Two standard auxiliary hydraulic circuits and optional quick couplers make attachment changes seamless, giving crews the flexibility to expand their capabilities on the job site.
The CX12D, weighing just 2,932 lb (1,330 kg), offers a simple and cost-efficient option for small jobs. It features a compact design that’s easy to control and service, without sacrificing attachment versatility. Its smaller footprint allows for smooth navigation through gates and around tight structures, making it ideal for work in hard-to-reach areas. The slightly larger CX19D, with an operating weight starting at 4,145 lb (1,880 kg), brings more power while remaining compact and maneuverable. With the option of an open canopy or heated cab, and compatibility with tools like hammers, augers, compactors, and tilt-rotators, the CX19D offers enhanced comfort and versatility.
The 32.3 kWh CX25EV electric mini excavator is tailored for job sites where low noise and zero emissions are a must. With an operating weight starting at 5,159 lb (2,340 kg), it delivers diesel-equivalent performance while running quietly and cleanly. The model includes up to three auxiliary hydraulic circuits, customizable electrohydraulic controls for speed and responsiveness, and a short-radius design for better mobility in confined areas.
For larger-scale jobs, the 13,162 lb (5,970 kg) CX60D combines heavyweight muscle with premium operator comfort. Equipped with a long arm and an optional six-way blade for precise grading, the CX60D is built for extended operation. Its modern, automotive-style cab features heat and air conditioning, an air-suspension seat, full LED lighting for visibility, and a large LCD display offering real-time performance and machine health data.
Terry Dolan, Head of CNH Construction Brands in North America, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation that responds to the needs of today’s crews. “Labour shortages, close-quarter environments, more stringent jobsite requirements — the challenges crews are up against today are more varied than ever,” he said. “Helping crews meet the demands of the modern worksite is what drives our practical approach to innovation, and it’s why we’ve focused heavily on enhancing our robust lineup of mini excavators to offer the most efficient solutions. These new models deliver big on power, but they’re also easier to transport, move around the job site, operate, maintain, and own, compared to larger machines.”
He added, “Helping crews get more done on the job, and helping contractors and rental houses grow their business is what drives our relentless focus on continuous improvement. With our expanded mini excavator lineup, we’re equipping teams with the most advanced technology, powerful performance, and intuitive design so they can work more efficiently than ever before.”
