Indeco has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Wipro Hydraulics, part of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, in a move aimed at enhancing global capabilities in hydraulic equipment and attachments.
Indeco, known for its design and manufacture of hydraulic solutions for the quarrying and construction sectors, said the agreement represents a strategic alignment between two established industry players, both marking 50 years of engineering experience.
The company stated that the partnership will support accelerated product development, strengthen its industrial and commercial structure, and optimise production processes, while maintaining the quality and identity of the Indeco brand.
Under the agreement, Indeco’s production will remain local, and the founding Vitulano family will continue to play an active leadership role alongside the company’s international management teams, ensuring continuity in both operations and strategy.
According to Michele Vitulano, global sales and marketing manager at Indeco, the decision reflects a long-term vision for growth. He noted that Wipro Hydraulics offers the scale and international presence needed to support the company’s next phase of development, while aligning with its core values.
The partnership is expected to bring additional resources and innovation opportunities, positioning Indeco to expand its global footprint and strengthen its competitiveness in the hydraulic equipment market.
