Uru Metals Advances Zeb Nickel Project with New Engineering and Environmental Contracts in Limpopo

UK-based Uru Metals is moving ahead with the development of its Zeb Nickel Project in South Africa’s Limpopo Province after awarding two key contracts to support exploration and regulatory compliance.

The first contract, granted to GF International, covers a combined ground gravity and frequency-domain electromagnetic survey targeting two high-priority prospects. The survey aims to refine drill targets and advance Uru’s exploration programme from airborne data to detailed ground-based analysis.

The second contract focuses on implementing the environmental rehabilitation guarantee—a regulatory prerequisite for securing the project’s mining right.

“Transitioning from airborne targeting to ground geophysics is a crucial next step in refining our highest-priority conductors along the intrusive margins,” said Richard Montjoie, Vice President of Exploration at Uru Metals. “This programme will deliver decision-ready targets to enable efficient drilling at Zeb Nickel.”

These developments follow recent fundraising rounds, including £420,000 raised from an investor in June 2025 and an additional £300,000 through a private placement in April 2025, both aimed at supporting ongoing project work.

The Zeb Nickel Project hosts an estimated 485.4 million tonnes of ore grading 0.245% nickel, positioning it as a potentially major source of future nickel supply for South Africa’s growing battery and energy storage industries.
