Develon, formerly known as Doosan Construction Equipment, has introduced a range of enhancements and options for its award-winning DL-7 wheeled loader lineup. Spanning eleven models from the compact DL200-7 to the top-tier DL580-7, the DL-7 series is designed to deliver faster, more efficient loading with bucket capacities ranging from 2.0 to 6.4 m³. These loaders cater to a wide variety of material-handling tasks, including the transportation and delivery of soil, sand, aggregates, and other materials in industries such as recycling, waste management, construction, demolition, mining, and quarrying. Develon also provides numerous optional attachments to further optimize performance for specific applications, boosting productivity.
A major improvement in the DL-7 range is the adoption of a new parallel lift system with electro-hydraulic compensation, standard on the six smallest models (DL200-7 to DL380-7). This system ensures the pallet forks remain horizontally aligned during lifting, maintaining load stability and balance. This feature simplifies loading and unloading operations, reduces the risk of spillage or damage, enhances safety, and improves overall efficiency, making it especially valuable for precise pallet handling tasks.
Develon has extended its electric joystick steering feature, previously available only on larger models, to smaller ones (DL200-7 to DL280-7). Integrated into the armrest, this system offers operators greater control with reduced effort, particularly for repetitive tasks or work in tight spaces. The ergonomic joystick’s sensitivity can be adjusted via the SmartTouch touchscreen monitor, which consolidates key settings and information into a user-friendly interface.
All DL-7 models now come with a full LED lighting package to enhance visibility, safety, and operator comfort. This package includes advanced LED work lights for powerful illumination during low-light operations, improving safety and efficiency. LED road lights further enhance visibility when transporting materials on roads or in busy work environments. Heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors are also included, offering clear visibility in cold or frosty conditions and easy angle adjustments without leaving the cab.
Inside the cab, operators can select a new seat option featuring both heating and ventilation for enhanced comfort. The seat includes fully adjustable horizontal and vertical suspension, a pneumatic lumbar support, and a 3-point safety belt with alarm indicators displayed on the SmartTouch monitor and gauge panel. The cab also features the Develon Smart Key system, allowing keyless start, remote door control, and anti-theft functionality. Additionally, two USB sockets are available for added convenience.
The hydraulic system across the DL-7 range has been improved to offer smooth and responsive operation. Auxiliary hydraulic connections and a 3rd spool valve with adjustable flow and detent function are now standard, providing consistent performance for hydraulic attachments. The smaller models (DL200-7 to DL280-7) now include quick coupler and 3rd spool piping as standard features, with these options available for larger models.
These updates to the DL-7 series combine to enhance performance, safety, and operator comfort. With features such as the parallel lift system, LED lighting, electric joystick steering, and Smart Key functionality, Develon’s DL-7 wheeled loaders continue to set a high standard for productivity and innovation in material-handling equipment.
